Commencement is one of the most joyous events at CSU. Every year, our university faculty and staff look forward to celebrating this incredible milestone with our graduates and their loved ones. In that spirit, we will host a virtual ceremony on May 17, 2024. The deadline to register is March 13, 2024.
There is no fee to participate in this ceremony, however you must register to participate AND meet the eligibility guidelines below.

Registration Information
The commencement registration deadline is March 13, 2024.
Eligibility to Participate in Commencement
- Students must submit a petition to graduate and receive audit results.*
- Students must complete all graduation requirements or have submitted their enrollment for any remaining course(s) required for program completion at the time of commencement registration.
- Students who have not completed all graduation requirements by the registration deadline are not eligible to be designated as graduating with honors.
**Students must complete the registration form in addition to submitting their petition to graduate.
Virtual Commencement Registration
Regalia Information
Regalia is not required for participation; however, it can still be purchased through Herff Jones if you would like to have it for personal photos or uses. Deadline to order regalia for the Virtual Ceremony is Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:59p.m. CST. After this time, no regalia orders will be accepted.
Additional Information
After registration ends on March 13, 2024, we will finalize registration requests. You should receive an email from our vendor, MarchingOrder, with instructions to create your graduate slide. You will have the option to upload a photo and quote, as well as an opportunity to include phonetic spelling of your name and record pronunciation. Please note that pictures and quotes must be appropriate. These slides will be displayed when the degrees are conferred during the ceremony; CSU will include the degree and any applicable honors. Slides must be completed by April 12, 2024.
Due to vendor processing times, late submissions cannot be accepted.
A few days prior to the ceremony, a link to access the virtual ceremony will be sent to share with family and friends. The ceremony is pre-recorded to allow viewing when convenient for our graduates and guests after the initial airing May 17, 2024, at 10a.m. CST.
The Foley Event Center at OWA
The CSU Commencement in-person ceremonies are held at The Foley Event Center at OWA, located just minutes away from the CSU campus.
