For more than 30 years, Alabama’s own Columbia Southern University has made its name with affordable, accessible, accredited online education. In that time, we have granted more than 100,000 diplomas to 60,000+ graduates, including thousands of Alabama community college graduates.

Our partnerships with Alabama community colleges allow you to seamlessly transfer previously earned academic credits, professional licenses, certificates and training programs into your chosen degree program. CSU also considers credit by examination and knowledge learned by experiential or equivalent learning.

We are also proud to provide full transfer credit for graduates with an Associate in Applied Technology degree into our Bachelor of Science in business administration.

The Admissions Process

Our admissions counselors can help you every step of the way, from submitting your application to enrolling in your first course. Students who wish to use Federal Student Aid should refer to the admission process under the Office of Financial Aid.

Apply

Complete your application for admission. There is no fee for the application.
Submit Your Transcripts

Upload copies of your transcripts via your MyCSU portal or utilize our Transcript Request Service and CSU will locate your previous academic and/or military transcripts for you.
Receive Your Evaluation

Once you have submitted your transcripts, we will contact you with your academic evaluation report results. CSU allows maximum transfer of credit hours for prior academic credits, training and relevant professional licenses and certifications. CSU also evaluates military training for course credit.
