Overview
Columbia Southern University’s online A.S. in Emergency Medical Services is fitting for new or seasoned professionals who are looking to advance their knowledge of the foundational aspects of working in EMS. This program integrates an academic groundwork in paramedicine. Students will assess effective clinical skills utilized in EMS organizations, evaluate effective EMS operational practices and analyze legal issues surrounding the EMS industry. Individuals who wish to apply for this program must possess a current paramedic certification.
Multiple factors, including prior experience, geography and degree field, affect career outcomes. CSU does not guarantee a job, promotion, salary increase, eligibility for a position, or other career growth.
This program is not designed to meet the educational requirements for a specific professional license or certification required for employment in an occupation.

Students who have already completed their paramedic certification and who have maintained their license in good standing may receive up to 30 hours of credit.
Tuition Rates
Our goal is to provide the strongest online academic programs at an affordable rate. On average, our tuition is less than half the cost of our competitors.

*Rates are per credit hour. Most courses are three (3) credit hours. Tuition and fees are payable in U.S. funds. Tuition rates are subject to change. CSU’s tuition rate for associate, bachelor’s and master’s courses is $250 per credit hour for all active-duty military members using tuition assistance except those who are using a Learning Partner discount.
The lower rate is offered to keep the tuition rate at the DoD cap of $250.
