Columbia Southern University will hold a virtual ceremony on May 30, 2025. The deadline to register is April 21, 2025.
Ceremony Details
Commencement is one of the most joyous events at CSU. Every year, our university faculty and staff look forward to celebrating this incredible milestone with our graduates and their loved ones. In that spirit, we will host a virtual ceremony on May 30, 2025. The deadline to register is April 21.
There is no fee to participate in this ceremony, however you must register to participate AND meet the eligibility guidelines below.
Ceremony Registration
The commencement registration deadline is April 21, 2025.
Eligibility to Participate in Commencement
- Students must have submitted a petition to graduate and receive audit results*.
- Students must complete all graduation requirements or have submitted their enrollment for any remaining course(s) required for program completion at the time of Commencement registration.
- Students who have not completed all graduation requirements by the registration deadline are not eligible to be designated as graduating with honors.
*Students must complete the Commencement registration form in addition to submitting their petition to graduate.
Virtual Commencement Registration
Regalia Information
Regalia is not required for participation; however, it can still be purchased through Herff Jones if you would like to have it for personal photos or uses. You may order your regalia through HerffJones.com. Herff Jones will ship your regalia materials directly to you. The standard ordering period will be open through Friday, April 18, 2025 at 10:59pm CST. The late ordering period will open Monday, April 21, 2025 and remain open through May 14, 2025 at 10:59pm CST. Late orders will incur an expedited FedEx shipping fee of $21.30.
Additional Information
Once registration closes, registration requests will be finalized and you will receive an email from our vendor, MarchingOrder, with instructions to create your graduate slide. Here you will have the ability to upload a photo and quote that you would like displayed, in addition to the degree and honors (if applicable) already provided by CSU, as well as an opportunity to include phonetic spelling of your name and record pronunciation. Please note that pictures and quotes must be appropriate. These slides are what will be displayed when the degrees are conferred during the ceremony. Slides must be completed by April 30, 2025. Due to vendor processing times late submissions are unable to be accepted.
A few days prior to the ceremony, a link to access the virtual ceremony will be sent for you to share with family and friends. The ceremony is pre-recorded to allow you viewing when convenient for our graduates and guests after the initial airing May 30, 2025, at 10a.m. CST.
The Foley Event Center at OWA
The CSU Commencement in-person ceremonies are held at The Foley Event Center at OWA, located just minutes away from the CSU campus.
