School Safety & Security: Next Steps is an awareness/technical level Continuing Education course designed to introduce current theory, innovative strategies, and industry collaboration and networking opportunities to produce multi-stakeholder solutions to foster optimal planning, preparation, response capabilities, and ultimately, enhanced outcomes.

This course defines the crime of human trafficking and provides the student with an awareness of human trafficking in the United States. The history of human trafficking in the United States is examined as well as political and social contexts.

This course, The United States’ Response to Human Trafficking, defines in more depth the crime of human trafficking and reviews the United Nations' Anti-Trafficking Protocols and the United States' Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (TVPA). The role of various federal agencies involved in the fight against human trafficking will be examined in detail.

This course, Law Enforcement Investigations of Human Trafficking Crimes, examines the role and importance of law enforcement in the fight against human trafficking. The resources available to law enforcement to fight human trafficking will be examined.
